Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge 2013

 

 

Heading across the ditch this weekend for the Lake Taupo Ride...New Zealand's version of Around the Bay I think.

I thought the 160km hilly circuit was a reasonable challenge but I've since found out that there is a two lap version (320 km) that starts at a very early 1:30am.

And if that's not enough there's an eight (8!!!!) lap version (1280km) that starts at midday on the Wednesday before the main event on this Saturday.

Luckily Lew and I will miss the start of that one.
