The Road Uphill

The Melbourne International Film Festival last night showed Jean-Louis Schuller's new doco on the Schleck brothers. A bit of historical background on the Schlecks followed by a detailed and fascinating fly on the wall look at Team Leopard Trek in the 2011 Tour de France. He obviously had total access to the team during the tour, from pre race briefings through to the post race recriminations. Brilliant stuff.

An interesting sidelight, as the director pointed out in the Q&A after the screening, at no point did Schleck Bros regard Cadel as a threat...it was all about Contador in their minds, even though he was always well down the CG.

So what about Cadel? They were convinced he'd crack...just a question of when. Sorry boys.
