Get well soon boys...

G'day All,

Just to bring you up to date with some medical news.
The dangers of flying economy (steerage) has reared it's ugly head.
Bill  is currently residing in Cabrini Hospital with a Pulmonary Embolus (blood clot on the lung) from a DVT, after his flight back to Australia.

This is a potentially life threatening event.

He gets to be on Warfarin (rat poison) for awhile, say about six months, so no riding for him.
Crap weather anyway.

More bad news, maybe known to some of you, Bob, a surgeon and a mate of mine who I was riding with in Piedmonte (Italy) a few week before the Raid Pyrenean, has also a DVT after his flight home, he's on Warfarin as well, so no riding for him either.

And you all thought cycling was dangerous.

Regards,
Lew
