I know we are looking down the barrel of a long hot summer...but the good folks of Sidi are based in Europe, so the new range of winter footware is definitely the way to go.
As the Scandanavians all say, "there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes". When I rode in Bergen (wettest city in Europe) I had goretex overshoes, and goretex windproof full length tights. I have worn the tights 3 times in 8 years in Australia, each time they were too hot (though would have been good for the 3 peaks if I was around for it).
In other words the northern Europeans have some fantastic wet weather bike gear, and if you can afford it it saves the day for the 2 times a year you're likely to use it.

Sounds like the ideal gear for the 3 Peaks!
Or the Mt Macedon Challenge for that matter.
