Ode to Lew...

To the tune of...

A long time ago before anyone was keen,
Hardman Lew got into the lycra scene,
He’d ride all ‘round the world buying kits to be worn,
But the loveliest of all was his GORC uniform.

He wore red polka dots and yellow jerseys,
Some real nice ones from all his journeys,
From Paris to Rome but the best came from Lorne,
For the loveliest of all was his GORC uniform.

Lew had a job to relieve patients of pain,
And he charged them heaps to wake them up again,
With all that money he knew what to do,
He’d sail around the world collecting a kit or two!

He wore red polka dots and yellow jerseys,
The greatest array from all his journeys,
From Madrid to Belgium but the best came from Lorne,
For the loveliest of all was his GORC uniform.

Now Lew was Hard and he answered his call,
Through all kinds of weather even when the snow would fall,
He rode the greatest mountains just for a thrill,
But he wouldn’t come home without his lycra fill.

He wore red polka dots and yellow jerseys,
And they all were matching his greatest journeys,
From Sicily to Corsica but the best came from Lorne
For the loveliest of all was his GORC uniform.
