Dolomites Day One: Stelvio Pass...both sides

Some of our motley crew gathering to face a 100km and 3000m day

Looking back to our base in Bormio. Beautiful.

Stelvio peaks at 2750m. Very cold despite the sunshine.

Stuart attempting to fill the sartorial void left by Alan's absence.

After the ascent of the southern side we looped through Switzerland for morning coffee.
As you do.

This is part of the 25 km climb with 45 switchback on the northern side. Brutal.

Finishing with a fast descent down the southern side back to Bormio.
Those of us here a few years ago will remember riding this in a blizzard.

The dining room at the hotel.
OMG.

Stunning photos of Stelvio Pass Steve! Looks amazing! With that feat of riding a meal in that gorgeous dining room was well-deserved!
