Today was definitely the most scenic ride of the trip. A 30km climb (the Clima Coppi) up into the crater of the Piano Grande, a ride through the spectacular fertile valley of the crater, then a climb out over the rim to the small village of Cascio. A mecca for American pilgrims it seem. We felt at home.
