France 2013: Day Nine

Many thanks to the wonderful Fritha for sending on above couple of photos.
Ian, Fritha and Scott's wonderful hospitality has been a real highlight
of our time in France for all of us

Today was a transit day to Chambery. This meant a two hour drive, then a 50km loop ride.
This was followed by another 3 hours or so drive into Chambery, where we met up with Hans.

Alan was hoping for a spa at the top

We stopped at a very modest looking gite on the way down the mountain for lunch.

Big serves, rustic and tasty. 10/10

The vegetable delivery arrived as we left

Seriously fantastic flavour

We stopped to help a woman stuck having reversed off this country road.
She took a look at us and said...no thanks.

Chambery...our base for the next six nights.
A very attractive place.

So all this marvellous gastronomic research - it's tax deductible, right?
