World's Greatest cyclist...ever!

 

Marianne Vos lines up to try and win her fifth Fleche Wallonne title today.

 

I read somewhere that if you add up all the titles and stages won over her career she is the world's most successful cyclist ever. Better than Merckx?

 

Well given that she's a from a mountain biking background, and holds or has held, multiple World Champions jerseys in Track, Cyclocross and Road disciplines, with Olympic gold medals in both Track and Road,  plus every Dutch national jersey that is on offer, she is a long way ahead of the bunch. Her list of wins since starting racing in 2002 runs over several pages.

 

And she is still only 25 years old.
